| Mission Statement: |

As Lectors of the Church of St Mary, we are
called to proclaim the Word of the Lord with faith and devotion
to the message of God and His disciples. It is an important
and privileged opportunity for members of the parish to minister
to the faith community by awakening people’s minds to
the learning and wisdom of scripture. Breathing life into
the written Word of God, lectors strive to make liturgy vibrant
and meaningful for the worshipping assembly, encouraging the
faithful to live each day according to God’s word. |

| Vision Statement: |

The goal of the Lectors’ Ministry is to maintain a
qualified group of lectors, sufficient in number and training,
to serve the parish community. To this end, new members for
the ministry, including the youth of the parish, will be recruited
and provided with training and resources necessary to develop
their gifts. |
