Confirmation 2026
Rite of Enrollment
Candidates and families attend one of the following four masses to make their official commitment before the parish community to enter immediate preparation for the sacrament.
- Saturday, September 12th – 4:00 PM at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph
- Sunday, September 13th – 8:00 AM at St. Mary
- Sunday, September 13th – 10:30 AM at St. Mary
Rites and Rituals
Candidates must be accompanied by their parent, guardian and/or sponsor at all of the Rites & Rituals.
Baptism: Ritual of Water & Light
Monday, September 14th 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM Church of St. Mary
Eucharist: Mass Confusion
Monday, September 21st 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM Church of St. Mary
Confirmation: Ritual of Oil & Laying on of Hands
Monday, September 28th 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM Church of St. Mary
Reconciliation Workshop
Monday, October 5th 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM Church of St. Mary
Reconciliation
Candidates choose a 15-minute slot for one of the following days for individual reconciliation.
Sign-ups are available on Monday, September 12th.
- Monday, October 19th – 6:00 PM–8:00 PM at the Church of St. Mary
- Tuesday, October 20th – 6:00 PM–8:00 PM at the Church of St. Mary
- Wednesday, October 21st – 6:00 PM–8:00 PM at the Church of St. Mary
Service Days
Candidates will choose one of the following service days, typically scheduled from 12:00 PM–6:00 PM.
- Sunday, September 20, 2026 – Joseph House, Troy, NY
- Sunday, September 27, 2026 – Joseph House, Troy, NY
- Sunday, October 4, 2026 – SJESJ & CSM Parish Picnic
Rehearsal
If your sponsor is unable to attend, another adult must attend in their place.
Sunday, October 25, 2026 Following the 10:30 AM Mass, the Sunday before Confirmation
Confirmation
Tuesday, October 27, 2026 – 6:00 PM Church of St. Mary at Clinton Heights
