Family Promise

Welcome to our information page for Family Promise, an outreach ministry to provide shelter for homeless families so that they can stay together dPicture12 001uring a time of difficulty.  Here you can learn about upcoming hosting events, training opportunities, volunteer opportunities, and supplies that we might need for the program.  I enjoy sharing this ministry with all of you who generously volunteer your time, talent and treasure to make this program a success.  May God bless you always.  Thanks for visiting.

Thank You!

A special Thank You! to Stewart’s Shops, who have given a $600 grant to our Family Promise program from their Holiday Match grant program.  When you can, please patronize your local Stewart’s shops in appreciation for their support.  The ice cream is always good!

About Family Promise in Our Cluster

  • What is Family Promise?Picture 007

Family Promise is a national program providing shelter for homeless families using an interfaith network (group of local churches).  At least 13 organizations partner to provide shelter.  Each host organization provides shelter, dinner and breakfast for up to 14 people from Sunday afternoon until Sunday morning the following week.  After that week, the families move to another mosque, synagogue or church for the next week.  Each organization will typically host families four times in a year.  (Read more…)

Project H2O

Imagine what your life would be like if you awoke tomorrow morning and found that there was no water coming into your home. What would you do? Probably you'd get a few gallons of bottled water, and feel a bit grungy and inconvenienced until the water came back on. Other than that, things would really be OK. But what if the water never came back on? And what if the stores ran out of bottled water? What if the nearest drainage ditch became the only place we could get any water at all? … Help The Thirsty
